On the 15^th  and 16^th of October, 2024,  Saints Peter and Paul Major Seminary, Bodija Ibadan hosted the Joint Seminaries’ Commission, which comprises the Bishops of the Lagos, Benin and Ibadan Provinces, Proprietors of the three regional Major Seminaries, Ss Peter and Paul Bodija, All Saints Uhiele-Ekpoma, and St Albert the Great, Idowu-Offonran. The three regional Major Seminaries were represented by their Rectors, Vice Rectors, Registrars, Bursars and Staff Representative. The Directors of the Spiritual Year programmes, Saint John of the Cross, Ekpoma and Saint Peter the Apostle, Eruku, were also present. The bishops and priests arrived in the evening of October 15 and joined the celebration of the Vespers in the Seminary Chapel. The students were elated to have their bishops with them.

On Wednesday the 16^th of October, the Mass of the Holy Spirit was celebrated by all the bishops and priests present. It was presided over by the Metropolitan Archbishop of Ibadan and Chairman of Bodija Seminary Commission, Most Rev. Gabriel Abegunrin. The homilist at the Mass, Most Rev. Anselm Pendo Lawani of Ilorin Diocese acknowledged the power of the Holy Spirit which never ceases to guide and govern the Church in her deliberations. He implored the Holy Spirit to inspire the activities of the Commission. Their meeting was held after the Mass. We pray the Holy Spirit, who governs the Church and is the principal agent of formation, to continue to guide and guard the Church and the operations of the Seminaries.
